European brands that make luxury SUVs
Nearly every brand claims to make a luxury SUV. From Chevy to Ford, they all stake their claim, some even opting to have specific brands dedicated to luxury, but very few hit the mark. If you are looking for refined luxury in an SUV from a brand that actually knows luxury, then we have you covered. We will go over some of our favorite European brands that make luxury SUVs right here.
German Luxury SUVs
The big three for luxury also happen to be all from Germany. They are Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. All three of these great brands make their own luxury SUVs, which we will cover below. First, let’s talk Porsche. Porsche is known more for performance than luxury, but they have made their own luxury SUVs with the Macan and the Cayenne.
For Mercedes-Benz, the luxury SUVs all carry a “G” in their model names. Current models in order by MSRP are GLA, GLC, GLE, and the top G-Class. For BMW it’s the X models with the X1, X2 X3, X4, X5, and X6. Finally, Audi uses Q for with the Q3, Q5, SQ5, and Q7. The A4 Allroad is also an SUV and an outlier in the Audi SUV lineup.
British Luxury SUVs
The British have their own share of luxury SUVs. Land Rover is likely the most ubiquitous in the field as all their models are SUVs including both the Range Rover and the Discovery. Sister company Jaguar also makes luxury SUVs with the E-PACE and larger F-PACE.
Bentley has thrown its hat into the luxury SUV ring as well with the premium Bentayga. As of this writing, Rolls-Royce doesn’t have a Luxury SUV, but it is set to debut one soon with the Cullinan.

Italian Luxury SUVs
The Italians are a relative latecomer to the luxury SUV market, but they are coming fast. Maserati was the first to deliver a luxury SUV with the impressive and stylish Levante. Not to be outdone, Lamborghini has created the attitude-filled Urus. Even Ferrari is set to make a performance-oriented luxury SUV, though further details or even a model name have yet to be released.
