City: Joliet, IL
Address: 500 Speedway Boulevard
Unlike many of the other venues on our list, Chicagoland Speedway is a fully-fledged NASCAR track. Unfortunately, that really means they only have one major weekend of racing a year, and this year that’s June 27-30 with the NASCAR truck series, the Xfinity series, and the Monster Energy series. For information on the main event and other events, check their website.
Dirt Oval Route 66
We didn’t list an address or have a map for this one, because this dirt track is actually at the Chicagoland Speedway facility. Unlike Chicagoland Speedway, they have dirt events all summer long. Check their website for a full schedule. You’ll find all manner of events including demolition derbies, sprint races, and even monster trucks.
